Best Organic Coffee Subscriptions

  • Prices checked Oct 23, 2026
  • We buy what we test with our own money

Verdict: Four brands in our files are USDA Organic confirmed in the USDA Organic Integrity Database (OID), Oct 8, 2026 — Purity (FLOW), Larry’s, Death Wish, and Kicking Horse. Among dated Oct 19 prices we can lean on today, Larry’s ($19.55 / 12 oz) and Kicking Horse ($15.30 / 10 oz) are the cleanest OID rows; Death Wish’s $19.99 / 16 oz list is still UNVERIFIED after Oct 19; Purity FLOW at $23.20 / 12 oz is an Oct 8 cite (UNVERIFIED Oct 19 product). For a labeled organic coffee we’ve actually bought and brewed, Volcanica Mexican Dark Roast ($18.39 first subscription order, then $20.69, free subscription shipping, checked Oct 19, 2026) is the one with a tested review. Several other brands say organic (Dean’s, Equator, Groundwork, Jim’s, Don Pablo, Lifeboost) — we attribute those claims and do not call them OID-confirmed.

How this comparison works: We bought and brewed Volcanica’s Mexican Dark Roast as espresso (see our Volcanica organic review). For every other brand on this page, we compare only published prices and terms from each brand’s own site as recorded in our Affiliate pack and earlier checks, on the dates shown. Organic wording: OID-confirmed vs labeled / says — never invent a certifier. This page says nothing about health.

  • Trustpilot ratings are the brands’ customers’ views, not ours, checked on the dates shown. We never rank by them.
  • Lifeboost and Café Don Pablo are named only; we do not link their own sites (text_only). Their Trustpilot pages are linked above.
  • Per cup on this site uses 15 g of coffee per cup (12 oz ≈ 22.7 cups; 16 oz / 1 lb ≈ 30.2 cups; 10 oz ≈ 18.9 cups). Dated per-cup figures for the five Visit cards are in Quick picks.
  • Organic here means farming and handling standards as claimed or OID-confirmed — not taste, freshness, or health.

Not an organic-only plan: Trade

Trade is a quiz-matched marketplace. Some individual coffees are tagged Organic or Regenerative Organic, but there is no organic-only plan in our files (pack §3; hub). We do not put Trade in the organic comparison table or on an organic quick-pick card. Plan prices on file if you still want the marketplace (MATCH Oct 19, 2026): Essential $16.99 and Signature $21.99 per 10.9 oz; Discovery Trial from $33.98. See Trade vs Atlas and our hub.

Peet’s organic SKUs

Peet’s sells individual Organic SKUs; that is not the same as an OID-confirmed organic brand or an organic-only subscription plan in our files (pack §3). Major Dickason’s on the hub is an everyday pick, not an organic SKU price. We omit Peet’s from this table rather than stretch an everyday blend into an organic row.

Volcanica Coffee (Mexican Dark Roast)

Box ordered Oct 8

Volcanica isn’t an all-organic company — some individual coffees are labeled USDA Organic, including Mexican Dark Roast. Subscriptions: 20% off the first order and 10% after; every subscription order ships free. Prices checked Oct 19, 2026: $18.39 first, then $20.69 (list $22.99) for 16 oz. Pause or cancel anytime through the Coffee Club account. Cadence: 15 days to 3 months. Trustpilot: 4.8/5 on Trustpilot (8,736 reviews, checked Oct 15, 2026). Organic claim: labeled only — no OID under the brand name in our files. Check that the exact coffee you pick says USDA Organic on its product page.

What we found (tested): Srinivas bought Mexican Dark Roast, labeled USDA Organic (“Reserve”), 16 oz, espresso grind, as a subscription order with his own money, received it Oct 13, 2026, and brewed it as espresso on a Breville home machine (first brew Oct 19, 2026). In his words: a rich, full-bodied dark roast where you taste every sip, with brown sugar and maple coming through; the body was much richer than the Atlas coffee he tried; he’d order it again. FAQ

Which organic coffee subscriptions do you cover? OID-confirmed (Oct 8, 2026): Purity FLOW, Larry’s, Death Wish, Kicking Horse. Labeled or says organic (not OID under brand in our files): Volcanica Mexican Dark Roast, Dean’s, Equator, Groundwork, Jim’s, Café Don Pablo Subtle Earth, Lifeboost. Trade is noted only as a marketplace with some tagged organic coffees — no organic-only plan.

What’s the cheapest organic subscription per cup among brands you link? Among dated, linkable rows: Dean’s at about $0.58 a cup before shipping (says organic; Oct 19, 2026). Volcanica ongoing about $0.68 with free subscription shipping (labeled; Oct 19). Death Wish about $0.66 at $19.99 with free sub shipping — list price UNVERIFIED Oct 19. Café Don Pablo’s $11.89 / 12 oz would land near $0.52 before shipping, but we do not put a Visit card on a text_only brand.

Did you taste these coffees? Volcanica Mexican Dark Roast, yes — see our review. Everything else on this page: published prices and terms only.

What does “OID” mean here? Confirmed in the USDA Organic Integrity Database on Oct 8, 2026 for Purity, Larry’s, Death Wish, and Kicking Horse. Everyone else is attributed (“says” / “labeled”) until we confirm them the same way.

Is organic coffee better? Organic certification is about farming and handling standards. It isn’t a taste or quality grade, and we don’t make health claims for any coffee. Buy organic if those standards matter to you. See our health-claims policy.

Do you earn money from these links? Volcanica is an approved affiliate (affiliate: true); the DisclosureBar and our affiliate disclosure cover paid links. Larry’s, Kicking Horse, Dean’s, Death Wish, Purity, Equator, Groundwork, and Jim’s are affiliate: false in brand-links.yaml today. Lifeboost and Don Pablo have no site links.
