Our Health-Claims Policy

We compare coffee on published price, terms, and service. We attribute certifications to the brand, or confirm them in a public directory. We don’t repeat brands’ health claims.

Why we have this policy

A lot of coffee is sold with wellness marketing. Some brands we compare use it heavily. We’re a coffee review site, not a medical source, and we’re not in a position to judge those claims. Repeating them would also mean vouching for something we haven’t checked.

So we leave them out entirely.

What you won’t see on Morning Regular

We don’t make, repeat, or rank coffee on claims about:

  • health, wellness, or disease;
  • antioxidant content;
  • mold, mycotoxins, or “toxin-free” testing;
  • acidity being easier on the stomach or digestion;
  • energy, focus, or other effects on the body;
  • doctor or expert endorsements of a coffee’s health effects.

When a brand’s own pages make claims like these, we don’t quote them, and we don’t let them affect our picks. Where a brand’s pages are built around such claims, we may leave out the link.

What you will see

  • Certifications, attributed to the brand or confirmed in a public directory (with date). For example, “Larry’s says it’s Fair Trade,” or “USDA Organic (confirmed in the USDA Organic Integrity Database, Oct 8, 2026).” We tell you where to verify a claim yourself.
  • Taste and freshness, only in a “Tested by us” review of coffee we’ve bought and brewed ourselves.
  • Price, shipping, and subscription terms, with the date we checked them.

If you have a health question about coffee

Ask your doctor or another qualified professional. We can help you find a subscription you’ll enjoy at a fair price, and that’s all we claim to do.
