Best Coffee Subscriptions of 2026: Organic & Everyday Picks
- Prices checked Oct 8, 2026

- How we make money
We haven’t published any hands-on reviews yet. This comparison uses published prices and terms, checked Oct 8, 2026, plus Trustpilot ratings checked Oct 12, 2026.
Update note (Oct 8, 2026): First version of this guide. Prices are from each brand’s own site, or the retailer named, checked on the date shown.
Coffee subscriptions are easy to start and hard to compare. Bags run 10 to 16 oz, shipping ranges from free to a flat fee, and the first-order discount usually isn’t the price you’ll keep paying.
So this guide puts every pick on the same footing. We list the bag size, the published subscription price, the shipping rule, and an estimated price per cup at 15 grams of coffee per cup. Then we sort the picks into two lanes:
- Organic: brands or clearly labeled lines with a stated organic certification.
- Everyday: good-value or convenient subscriptions where organic isn’t the point.
We don’t rate taste on this page. You get a dated, side-by-side look at what each company publishes, plus each brand’s Trustpilot rating for context.

The comparison table
Prices are before sales tax and were checked on Oct 8, 2026. “Per cup” = (subscription price + shipping) ÷ cups per bag, at 15 g per cup. A 12 oz bag is about 22.7 cups at that dose, and a 16 oz bag about 30.2 cups. Where shipping isn’t published, we show the cost before shipping and say so. Want to try your own dose? Use the price-per-cup calculator.

Before you compare: a lower per-cup number means cheaper coffee per gram, not better coffee. A Trustpilot rating is what a brand’s reviewers on Trustpilot say about the company overall; it isn’t our rating, and we don’t verify it.
How we picked
Every pick is based only on things you can check yourself:
- Published price on the brand’s own site, normalized to price per ounce and per cup.
- Shipping rules, including free-shipping thresholds (Equator’s $5 fee on one bag, checked Oct 8, 2026, adds about 22 cents per cup).
- Certifications: we attribute them to the brand (“Larry’s says…”) unless we’ve confirmed them in the USDA Organic Integrity Database or the certifier’s directory. Confirmed ones carry the date we checked.
- Plan terms: cadence options, discounts on the first order versus later orders, and whether gifts or trials auto-renew.
- Scope: US availability and whether there’s a real subscription (not just a one-time shop).
Trustpilot ratings: Next to each brand we show its rating out of 5 on Trustpilot and its review count, with the date we checked, linked to the brand’s Trustpilot page. These numbers are Trustpilot’s, from the brand’s reviewers there; they aren’t our assessment, and they change over time. We don’t copy review text, and we don’t control or verify those reviews. Where a brand has fewer than 10 reviews, we say “Too few reviews on Trustpilot” instead of a score. Ratings are shown for context only; our picks are based on published price, price per cup, shipping, and renewal and cancellation terms.
This page doesn’t judge taste. “Tested by us” reviews, for coffee we’ve bought and brewed ourselves, follow the method on How we test.
We also don’t repeat brands’ wellness marketing. We compare coffee on price, terms, certifications, and service. Read our health-claims policy.
Organic picks
Volcanica Coffee (organic line): our pick for free-shipping organic subscriptions
Box ordered Oct 8
Trustpilot rating (customers’ view, not ours): 4.8/5 on Trustpilot (8,736 reviews, checked Oct 12, 2026)
Single roaster · Mexican Dark Roast, labeled USDA Organic · 16 oz · $22.99 one-time, $18.39 first subscription order, $20.69 after (price checked Oct 8, 2026) · Free subscription shipping · About $0.61 per cup first order, $0.68 after
Volcanica isn’t an all-organic company. It sells a large catalog, and some individual coffees are labeled USDA Organic, including Mexican Dark Roast, Sumatra Mandheling, and Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. On published price, its organic 16 oz bag is among the lower-cost organic options per cup, and every subscription order ships free. The subscription takes 20% off the first order and 10% off later orders.
Good to know: The discount drops after the first order, so budget on the $20.69 price (price checked Oct 8, 2026), not the intro price. Check that the exact coffee you pick says “USDA Organic” on its product page, because much of the catalog doesn’t.
Volcanica offers this coffee pre-ground for espresso, among other grinds (grind option seen on Volcanica’s site, Oct 8, 2026).
Who might skip it: Anyone who wants an all-organic brand where every bag qualifies.
Purity Coffee: our pick for an all-organic premium brand
Trustpilot rating (customers’ view, not ours; checked Oct 12, 2026): Too few reviews on Trustpilot
Single roaster · FLOW Original Medium Roast · 12 oz · $29.00 one-time, $23.20 on subscription (price checked Oct 8, 2026) · Free shipping at $65+, otherwise shown at checkout · About $1.02 per cup before shipping
Purity’s FLOW coffee is USDA Organic (confirmed in the USDA Organic Integrity Database, Oct 8, 2026). Purity describes itself as 100% organic, and its partner page also lists B Corp certification. Subscriptions take 20% off whole bean and ground coffee and can ship every 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 weeks. Prepaid plans ship free.
It’s the priciest organic pick here per cup, and a single bag sits below the $65 free-shipping line (checked Oct 8, 2026; the standard rate isn’t published), so the delivered cost will be higher than shown.
Good to know: Purity’s marketing leans on wellness claims. We don’t repeat them. Judge it like any other bag: price, freshness, and whether you like it.
Who might skip it: Budget shoppers. Several organic options here cost roughly half as much per cup.
Dean’s Beans: our pick for organic, Fair Trade-labeled coffee by the pound
Trustpilot rating (customers’ view, not ours; checked Oct 12, 2026): Too few reviews on Trustpilot
Single roaster · 1 lb bags · $19.59 one-time, $17.63 on subscription (price checked Oct 8, 2026) · Free shipping at $89+ (contiguous US); 5 lb bags always ship free · About $0.58 per cup before shipping
Dean’s Beans describes its coffee as “100% Organic, Fair Trade,” and some coffees carry a Bird Friendly badge on its site. Subscriptions take 10% off and can run anywhere from every week to every 12 weeks. On published price, it’s one of the lowest-cost organic options per cup.
Good to know: Shipping under $89 isn’t published (checked Oct 8, 2026), so a single bag will cost more than shown. We found no Dean’s Beans affiliate program; that has no effect on its spot here.
Larry’s Coffee: our pick for an organic North Carolina roaster
Trustpilot rating (customers’ view, not ours; checked Oct 12, 2026): No Trustpilot rating shown
Single roaster, Raleigh, NC · 12 oz · $23.00 one-time, $19.55 on subscription (price checked Oct 8, 2026) · Subscription shipping $3.50 to $6.50, free at $89+ · About $0.86 per cup before shipping
Larry’s is USDA Organic (confirmed in the USDA Organic Integrity Database, Oct 8, 2026). It says its coffee is “100% Organic, Fair Trade,” and says it’s a certified B Corp. Subscriptions take 15% off and ship every 1, 2, 3, 4, or 6 weeks. It also sells 4 oz samples, which is a low-commitment way to try a roast before you subscribe.
Good to know: An older Larry’s blog post mentions a 20% subscription discount. The subscription page we checked shows 15%. Go by what checkout shows you.
Equator Coffees: our pick for a curated organic plan
Trustpilot rating (customers’ view, not ours; checked Oct 12, 2026): Too few reviews on Trustpilot
Roaster, California · Curated Fair Trade Organic plan · 12 oz · $20.00 per bag (price checked Oct 8, 2026) · $5 flat shipping on subscriptions under $50, free at $50+ · About $1.10 per cup with shipping
Equator’s curated plan is one of the few organic-specific curated options we found. Its organic collection also lists a coffee from Peru that Equator describes as Regenerative Organic Certified. Individual coffees are 10% off on subscription.
Good to know: At one bag per delivery, the $5 shipping fee (checked Oct 8, 2026) is a big part of the cost. Two bags per delivery gets you to free shipping.
Death Wish Coffee: our pick for low per-cup organic
Trustpilot rating (customers’ view, not ours; checked Oct 12, 2026): Too few reviews on Trustpilot
Single roaster · 1 lb bags · $19.99 (price checked Oct 8, 2026); Death Wish advertises 30% off a first subscription shipment and volume-based discounts on later orders (“the more you buy, the more you save”), which vary by quantity: its pages cite 15%, 20% and 30%, with no published one-bag discount · Free subscription shipping (contiguous US) · About $0.66 per cup at $19.99
Death Wish is USDA Organic (confirmed in the USDA Organic Integrity Database, Oct 8, 2026), and it says its coffees are Fair Trade. Even at its $19.99 price, it’s among the lower-cost organic options per cup on this list, and buying more bags per delivery lowers it further.
Good to know: The recurring discount depends on how many bags you order, and no one-bag rate is published, so check it at checkout. Its marketing is built around strength, so it may not suit you if you like lighter roasts.
Everyday picks
Bean Box: our pick for a curated multi-roaster box
Trustpilot rating (customers’ view, not ours; checked Oct 12, 2026): Too few reviews on Trustpilot
Multi-roaster, Seattle · 12 oz or 2 lb · $19.50 to $21.50 per 12 oz bag; 2-bag plans $18 to $20 per bag (price checked Oct 8, 2026) · Shipping $5.45 per 1-bag delivery; $7.50 for 2-bag and $8.50 for 2 lb plans (checked Oct 8, 2026) · About $1.10 to $1.19 per cup delivered on a 1-bag plan
Bean Box picks coffees from independent roasters and ships every 2 to 6 weeks. It suits you if variety matters more than the lowest price.
Good to know: Bean Box has no organic-only plan. Subscriptions pay a shipping fee on every delivery, which matters more on 1-bag plans. Its FAQ says changes or cancellations must be made by 5 PM PST on the Wednesday the week before delivery.
Atlas Coffee Club: our pick for trying single origins from around the world
Box ordered Oct 8
Trustpilot rating (customers’ view, not ours): 3.6/5 on Trustpilot (83 reviews, checked Oct 12, 2026)
Multi-origin single-origin club · 6, 12 or 24 oz per shipment · Every 2 or 4 weeks · “First bag free with subscription” offer shown on its site (seen Oct 8, 2026) · 12 oz $20 per shipment after the first (price checked Oct 8, 2026)
Atlas sends a single-origin coffee from a different country with each box, plus a postcard and tasting notes. Its current offer takes 50% off a single-bag first shipment, or makes one bag free on a 2-bag plan (checked Oct 12, 2026).
Good to know: After the first shipment, a 12 oz plan is $20 per shipment on Atlas’s site (checked Oct 12, 2026); shipping wasn’t shown before checkout. It renews automatically until you cancel, so read the terms before checkout.
Trade: our pick for quiz-matched coffee
Trustpilot rating (customers’ view, not ours): 4.7/5 on Trustpilot (180 reviews, checked Oct 12, 2026)
Multi-roaster marketplace · Bags about 10 to 12 oz (varies by roaster) · “Crowd faves” $16.99, premium $21.99 per bag (price checked Oct 8, 2026) · Free shipping on orders over $30 and for prepaid plans, otherwise $3.99 (checked Oct 8, 2026) · Weekly, biweekly or monthly
Trade Coffee asks you to take a short quiz and then matches you with coffees from partner roasters. Its Discovery Trial is 3 bags, with the first bag free and free shipping, from $33.98 (price checked Oct 8, 2026). Some Trade coffees are tagged Organic or Regenerative Organic, but there’s no organic-only plan.
Good to know: Bag sizes vary by roaster, so check the ounces on each coffee before you compare prices.
Peet’s Coffee: our pick for a familiar grocery brand
Trustpilot rating (customers’ view, not ours): 2.2/5 on Trustpilot (58 reviews, checked Oct 12, 2026)
Single roaster · Major Dickason’s Blend 1 lb, $21.95 (price checked Oct 8, 2026) · 5% off subscription orders of $30 to $49.99, 10% off $50+ (Peet’s FAQ, checked Oct 8, 2026) · Free subscription shipping · About $0.73 per cup at list price
If you already buy a Peet’s blend at the store, this is a simple way to never run out. Delivery runs every 1 to 8 weeks, and Peet’s also sells individual organic coffees. A new-subscriber code, NEWSUB30 (30% off the first 3 subscription orders), was seen on Oct 7, 2026. Codes change, so check before you count on it.

How to choose a coffee subscription
Start with how much you drink. One 12 oz bag makes about 22 to 23 cups at 15 g each. If you drink two cups a day, that’s roughly an 11-day supply, so a “monthly” plan will run out fast. Our calculator turns cups per day into a suggested delivery schedule.
Compare delivered cost, not sticker price. A cheaper bag with paid shipping can cost more per cup than a pricier bag that ships free. Check the free-shipping threshold, too: two bags per delivery often clears it.
Know the intro price from the ongoing price. Many subscriptions discount the first order more heavily than later ones (Volcanica: 20% first, 10% after). Budget on the ongoing price.
Decide whether organic matters to you. If it does, look for a named certification on the specific coffee, not just the brand. Some brands are all-organic. Others, like Volcanica, Peet’s, and Trade, sell organic coffees alongside non-organic ones.
Pick roaster or marketplace. Single roasters give you consistency; multi-roaster services (Bean Box, Trade, Atlas) give you variety.
Read the cancel and skip rules before your first box. Note the cutoff for changing your next shipment.
A note on organic labels
When a brand says a coffee is “USDA Organic” or “Fair Trade,” we attribute the claim to the brand. Where we’ve confirmed an organic certification in the USDA Organic Integrity Database (Purity, Larry’s, Death Wish and Kicking Horse, checked Oct 8, 2026), we say so with the date. Fair Trade and B Corp claims stay attributed until we’ve checked the certifiers’ directories. You can check a USDA Organic claim yourself in the USDA Organic Integrity Database, and Fair Trade claims through the certifier’s own listings.
“Organic” describes how coffee was grown and handled, not how it tastes or how fresh it is.
FAQ
What is the best coffee subscription in 2026? It depends on what you value. On published price, Café Don Pablo’s Subtle Earth line, Dean’s Beans, Volcanica’s organic line and Death Wish were the lowest-cost organic options per cup in our comparison, with Don Pablo the lowest, and Bean Box and Trade are the curated, multi-roaster options we compared. These are comparisons of published prices and terms, not taste verdicts.
Do Trustpilot ratings affect your picks? No. Ratings are shown for context only; our picks are based on published price, price per cup, shipping, and renewal and cancellation terms. The numbers are Trustpilot’s, not our assessment, and we never sort or rank by them.
Are coffee subscriptions worth it? They’re worth it if you’d otherwise buy specialty coffee anyway and like not running out. They can cost more per cup than grocery coffee: the lowest per-cup price here is about $0.42 before shipping (Starbucks via Amazon, price checked Oct 8, 2026), while Purity is about $1.02 before shipping (price checked Oct 8, 2026).
Which organic coffee subscriptions cost the least per cup? On published prices (checked Oct 8, 2026), Café Don Pablo’s Subtle Earth line is lowest at about $0.52 per cup before shipping (free shipping starts at $75). Dean’s Beans is about $0.58 before shipping, Volcanica’s organic line about $0.61 on the first order and $0.68 after, with free shipping, and Death Wish about $0.66 at its $19.99 price, with free subscription shipping and volume discounts on bigger orders.
How much coffee do I need per month? At 15 g per cup, two cups a day uses about 912 g a month, which is roughly 2.7 bags of 12 oz. Use our calculator to work out your own number.
Is organic coffee better? Organic certification is about farming and handling standards. It isn’t a taste or quality grade, and we don’t make health claims for any coffee. Buy organic if those standards matter to you.
Do you get paid for these picks? No. Right now no link on this page earns us anything: we haven’t joined any affiliate program, and no brand has paid us or sent us free product. If that changes, those links will be labeled “(paid link)” and the page will show a disclosure at the top. Full disclosure.
